Casting

Several examples of casting
Pictured above are several original waxes and the resultant castings following burnout. Note the delicate nature of this student work.
The other side of the classroom is set up for mold making and wax work. The investment mold making area is equipped with a washout sink, manual, steam and ultrasonic cleaning equipment, a vacuum pump, a vibrator for investing mold flasks, investment, investment mixing tools, flasks and supplies.

The wax working area is equipped with a pneumatic wax injector, electric wax working pens, a wax extrusion gun, assorted hand tools for forming and carving wax, clear rubber mold making system, a wax turning lathe, scale, calculator and assorted molds, dies, stamps, tools and supplies used to make wax models of jewelry for casting.
