Next to the casting area is a separate area devoted to minting and engraving. It is equipped with a 4 foot precision lathe for medium size turning, facing, boring and threading work in steel or other metals. There is also a miniature tool room lathe for small precision work. A miniature, high speed drill press, a large pedestal drill press, and a nine-ton capacity flypress for coining, die striking and embossing.There is a tabletop engraving machine, an inside ring engraving machine and related alphanumerical templates and letter sets. Engraving equipment provided consists of graver's blocks, a power diamond hone for precision sharpening, a rotating vise stand for larger work and related materials, accessories and supplies.
