Description:

This seminar is for novices and pros alike. Beginners will learn from scratch and those already in the trade will learn some new tricks and new applications for old tricks. We tailor these seminars to the individual's goals and needs.

Learn new soldering techniques and new applications for old techniques. Topics covered will include applications for re-tipping and re-pronging as well as sizing applications and various fabrication techniques such as soldered Mokume Gane (not kiln fired) and Filigree.

Discover how to use flux, fire coat, heat shields and heat sinks to make your work faster and easier. Understand how sweating, capillary action and step soldering make your joints work. Learn to use your torch and volume of solder to produce joints that never have to be filed! 16 different types of solder joints will be covered in an intense two day seminar.

 

Required Materials:

Basic materials are included. Please bring safety glasses and basic safety equipment (e.g. an apron).
